Colorado Springs New Hire Pension Plan

The Colorado Springs New Hire Pension Plan provides monthly lifetime pension benefits to certain members of the Colorado Springs fire and police departments. The Plan is funded by Members and the City of Colorado Springs and is divided into separate Components for fire and police.

Generally, this Plan covers Colorado Springs firefighters and police officers who were hired on or after April 8, 1978, and before October 1, 2006. Members hired after October 1, 2006 are enrolled in the Statewide Retirement Plan.
